BWFCC Complaints and Compliments Process:

Your concerns will be taken seriously and will be investigated appropriately and reported in accordance with BWFCC’s Grievances and Complaints Policy. Families can make a complaint directly to the Regulatory Authority, (Department and Education and Training) where the complaint alleges that:
- The safety, health or wellbeing of a child or children was or is being compromised while that child or children is or are being educated and cared for by the approved education and care service
- The relevant legislation has been contravened

Compliments about a BWFCC employee, Board Member, volunteer, student or contractor may be addressed verbally or in writing to the Nominated Supervisors:

Reporting child abuse
Any complaints about a BWFCC employee, Board Member, volunteer, student or contractor’s behaviour or conduct towards a child or young person will be handled in accordance with BWFCC’s Child Safe Environment Policy. This is in-line with the Child Safe Standards and the Victorian Reportable Conduct Scheme.
If you suspect or know of a child or young person being abused, you must report it:
- if a situation is life threatening, contact police on Triple Zero (000)
- for immediate concerns about the safety of a child, contact the Department of Human Services Child Protection Crisis Line by telephone on 13 12 78
- to discuss concerns about the safety of a child or young person, contact
- your local police station
