Damon Hauenstein

Damon Hauenstein is a strategic leader with extensive experience in both financial and operational management.
He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Weel, Australia’s leading spend management platform. He has played an instrumental role in the company’s emergence as one of the fastest-growing scale-ups in Australia, processing over $500 million in payments each year for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Prior to joining Weel, Damon spent over a decade at Citi, most recently as a Director of Investment Banking. During his tenure, he served as a trusted advisor to boards and senior executives at many prominent Australian and international companies and was responsible for leading and executing over $20 billion of capital raisings and strategic transactions.
He also brings experience in corporate governance and the non-profit sector, having served as a board member at Deakin University and the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria. Damon holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University.
Damon lives in Albert Park with his young family and has a child attending BWFCC.
